Through the support of the Department of Science and Technology Region 2 headed by Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, the Cagayan Valley Small Ruminants Research Center (CVSRRC) of Isabela State University conducted a training on Technology Business Incubation (TBI) on January 29 to 31, 2018.

The said training aims to orient entrepreneurs on Technology Business Incubation and on how to commercialize their products. TBI further envisions to promote the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship and to create sustainable business ventures that will contribute to the overall welfare of the society.

In a message by Dr. William R. Eustaquio, Executive Officer of ISU-Echague, he said that TBI will be an opportunity for the University’s products to be commercialized. “This (TBI) will be of great avenue to introduce our mature technologies developed in our University, especially in the agricultural sector,” he said.

Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, Vice President for Administration and Finance Services, said the training will have a beneficial impact to the community. “May this initiative multiply to help our entrepreneurs to starts their own business,” he added. Moreover, Atty. Cammayo said that TBI targets the University to become a University for People, Nature, and Entrepreneurship.

The three-day training on TBI includes lecture on Business Model Innovation, Product Design and Development, Marketing Strategies, and Business Registration.

The throng of the participants on the said training were entrepreneurs from different provinces such as Bulacan, Tarlac, Cagayan, Quirino, and Isabela. Attendance of some entrepreneurs was sponsored by DOST R02.
